Iowa State students decided to have a little bit of extra fun when a weather delay disrupted the Cyclones' matchup with Iowa.

After several severe storms hit Ames, Iowa on Saturday putting a stop to Iowa State's matchup with the No. 19 Hawkeyes for a second time, a hail storm forced security guards to leave the field at Jack Trice Stadium.

With that, the Cyclone student body was left unattended. That was a bad idea — or a really good one depending on how you look at it.

The second security cleared the premises, students stormed the field and had themselves a good 'ole time.

Normally fans will rush the field after a big win over a rival or highly ranked opponent, but Iowa State fans decided this was their moment to hit the gridiron.

It does not appear anyone was hurt during the rushing of the field and the game will get going once again in due time, so just chalk this one up to students being students.

No harm no foul and we got a little laugh and entertainment out of it.
