No. 1 Georgia (9-0) faces Tennessee (5-4) on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee. The game will be televised by CBS.
The Bulldogs enter with an undefeated 9-0 record, tied for their best start in six seasons under coach Kirby Smart. Georgia has arguably the best defense in the nation, allowing an FBS-best 6.6 points per game and 231.8 yards per contest, which ranks only second to Wisconsin.
Georgia is seeking its second College Football Playoff berth under Smart, who led the team to the national championship game in 2018, a 35-28 loss to Alabama.

The Bulldogs are the only undefeated team remaining of the top four squads in the College Football Playoff rankings (No. 2 Alabama, No. 3 Oregon and No. 4 Ohio State) and conceivably have their biggest challenge remaining in a potential matchup against the Crimson Tide on Dec. 4 in the SEC Championship Game.
However, Georgia will face its toughest defensive challenge to date against the Volunteers, who lead the SEC in yards per play (7.2) in conference games. Tennessee is led by senior quarterback Hendon Hooker, who has thrown for 21 touchdowns against just two interceptions.
Tennessee is coming off a 45-42 win at No. 18 Kentucky, in which it averaged a whopping 9.8 yards per play. Hooker threw for 316 yards and four touchdowns while completing 15-of-20 passes and also rushed for 41 yards on 11 carries.
