CBS analyst Gary Danielson took a moment during Saturday's game between Georgia and Texas A&M to issue an apology for something that happened a week prior.
During Georgia's game against Auburn last week,UGA running back Brian Herrien ran into photographer Chamberlain Smith on the sideline. It was an unfortunate scene as medical personnel surrounded Smith on the sideline. She had to be removed off the field via stretcher, and later said she suffered a concussion from the hit.

Danielson was criticized on social media at the time for how he handled the situation. At one point he laughed, and at another he asked if she "got the shot." On Saturday, Danielson apologized because he says he was not fully aware of the situation while making comments on air.
Danielson's statement in full:
"Last week, in real time, I just didn't see what happened. In fact, I might have been the last person to see what happened. That confusion, and my commentary that followed led some to conclude that I was kind of being insensitive to Chamberlain's serious situation. That certainly wasn't my intent. But I did. Our viewers saw it, and simply put, I should have been better."
Smith has posted several updates since being hit, and even seemingly took a subtle shot at Danielson by saying she did indeed get the shot.
For those of you asking if I got “the” shot, here it is!! The last thing my camera & I saw before being tackled. @brianherrienn, I hope you LOVE this photo!! ❤️🏈📷 #godawgs pic.twitter.com/mxWfyWhcUU

She also posted Saturday, with a black eye, that she's still cheering on the Bulldogs.
Me & my black eye will be cheering on the dawgs from the safety of my living room today!! See y’all on the sidelines again soon ❤️ pic.twitter.com/PwPoJC29JN
