It seems Alabama transfer Antonio Alfano has found a new home to play college football.

Alfano, the top-rated defensive end in the class of 2019 and No. 5 overall player according to 247Sports' Composite rankings, will continue his collegiate career at Colorado, according to a tweet from him and Buffaloes coach Mel Tucker.

The move makes sense, considering Tucker's extensive experience coaching defenses at both the collegiate and NFL level. It also gives Alfano a fresh start after he dealt with reported family issues — his father, Frankie Alfano, said Antonio's grandmother had fallen ill — in Tuscaloosa, resulting in multiple absences from practices and class.

Alabama coach Nick Saban said the team tried to support Alfano, but that he "basically quit" before entering the transfer portal in mid-October.
