Florida has won 16 of its last 18 games against Tennessee, but it certainly feels like the tide has turned in this SEC rivalry.
Tennessee managed a 38-33 win over the Gators last season, snapping a five-game losing streak and setting the tone for what was one of the program's best seasons in recent memory. This time around, the Volunteers are road favorites even after a slew of key offensive pieces from last year's team departed.
Questions surround Florida on both sides of the ball after the Gators were soundly beaten by an undermanned Utah team in Week 1, and back-to-back losses to Tennessee would undoubtedly start to put some real pressure on second-year coach Billy Napier.
Just as it did a year ago, Saturday's game represents a crucial early test for Tennessee before matchups against Alabama and Georgia later in the season. If the Volunteers want to make it back to a New Year's Six bowl or even make a playoff appearance, a win in Gainesville might be required.
