One of the most improbable "College GameDay" episodes since the show's inception will take place on Saturday, when it heads to Lawrence, Kan., to preview No. 17 TCU at No. 19 Kansas.
Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and Lee Corso will preview the Big 12 meeting, which includes what is perhaps the biggest story of this young college football season: an undefeated, ranked Jayhawks team.
Lance Leipold's Kansas squad (5-0) already has more wins than each of the last 12 Jayhawks teams, and is looking for its first 6-0 start since the 2007 season (when it went 12-1 under Mark Mangino). A win over the Horned Frogs would make the Jayhawks bowl eligible for the first time since 2008, when they won the Insight Bowl with an 8-5 record.
Of course, Kansas will look to avoid the fate of the 2009 Jayhawks, who prior to this year were the last KU team to start 5-0. That group finished the season on a seven-game skid, keeping the team from bowl eligibility in Mangino's final season in Lawrence.

While Kansas undoubtedly is a feel-good story this year, TCU (4-0) is also off to a fast start with first-year coach Sonny Dykes. The Horned Frogs were largely untested in wins over Colorado, Tarleton State and SMU, but did score an impressive Week 5 victory over then-No. 18 Oklahoma.
Needless to say: TCU will be more than happy to end Kansas' impressive win streak. And "College GameDay" will be there to view every storyline from that game when it visits Lawrence.
