"College GameDay" is making its first trip to the West Coast this weekend for a top-10 Pac-12 meeting.
Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, David Pollack and Lee Corso will head to Autzen Stadium in Eugene, Ore., for the Pac-12 meeting between No. 9 UCLA and No. 10 Oregon.
The Bruins (6-0) and Ducks (5-1) represent not only the Pac-12's last two unbeaten teams in conference play but also its best bet to make the College Football Playoff for the first time since the 2016 season (them and USC).
The stakes will doubtless be high in Autzen Stadium, and that's not even considering the fact former Ducks coach Chip Kelly is making just his second return to Eugene since leaving Oregon for the NFL and returning to coach UCLA.

Oregon has rebounded nicely from a demoralizing season-opening loss to Georgia in Atlanta, a game in which the Bulldogs won 49-3. UCLA meanwhile has one of the nation's top quarterbacks in Dorian Thompson-Robinson, a dual threat who can hurt opponents with his arm and legs.
With that, The Sporting News takes a closer look at the "GameDay" visit for Week 8:

Selected No. 1 overall in the 2020 WNBA Draft by the New York Liberty, Ionescu is the NCAA's all-time leader in career triple-doubles and the Pac-12 Conference's all-time leader in assists.
Ionescu also became the first NCAA player ever (man or woman) to reach 2,000 points, 1,000 assists, and 1,000 rebounds in a career.
Ionescu won the Naismith and Wade trophies — on top of her second-straight Wooden Award — as the best player in women's college basketball for the 2019-20 season. She also was named national player of the year by the Associated Press, USBWA and ESPN.
Once she entered the WNBA, Ionescu became the youngest WNBA player to notch a triple-double, which was also the first for the Liberty.
Through 69 career games in the WNBA, Ionescu averages 15 points per game, 6.3 rebounds and 6.1 assists.
