Michigan football fans upset refs didn't give Donovan Peoples-Jones a TD image

Michigan isn't playing for the College Football Playoff anymore, but the Wolverines can still play spoiler, which they looked to do Saturday afternoon against undefeated Wisconsin. With the Badgers leading 7-0 in the second quarter, it looked like Michigan scored on a touchdown pass to Donovan Peoples-Jones, but refs ultimately decided it wasn't a score.

The play was about as close as you could get, with Peoples-Jones' feet coming down at pracitcally the same time, with one in-bounds and the other out. As Fox continued to show replays, an extreme slow-mo appeared to show Peoples-Jones first foot just barely getting down in-bounds first.

So, was it a touchdown? Refs ultimately decided there wasn't enough evidence to call it a score. And as fate would have it, the Wolverines turned the ball over on the next play, escaping the drive without points.

Naturally, Michigan fans weren't too happy about the call.

Michigan, college football fans react
