Desmond Howard apologizes for quoting profane skit on 'College GameDay' image

Desmond Howard apologized Saturday for quoting an NSFW Chapelle Show skit on the first College GameDay broadcast of the new season.

Howard, a Michigan alum, was asked if his alma mater can beat Ohio State this year, he then joked, “Is Desmond Howard gonna have to choke a b—?”

It was followed by an awkward laugh from Rece Davis while the other co-hosts, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit, looked on.

Here is the clip if you would like to watch, but we warn you it does contain language.

Howard apologized on the broadcast.

“I’m a big Wayne Brady fan and I made a comment that was supposed to be taken as a joke," he said. "If I offended anybody, I apologize.”

He also took to Twitter and said, "Guys, guys, guys. I didn't realize this joke was so obscure."

Howard also linked to a 2014 SportsCenter clip of Robert Flores quoting a version of the same skit.
