Deion Sanders shares 'dad moment' with son Shilo Sanders after pick-six vs. Colorado State image

It's extremely rare in the game of football for families to experience on-field moments together while the contest is still being played.

That is, unless you are Coach Prime's family

Deion Sanders and Colorado delivered a thrilling double-overtime victory over Colorado State on Saturday night, besting their in-state rivals 43-35 to remain undefeated on the season. Sanders' son Shedeur, the quarterback for the Buffaloes, was sensational yet again, throwing for 348 yards and four touchdowns in the dramatic win.

However, it was Sanders' elder son, Shilo, who got Colorado on the board first, picking off Colorado State QB Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi in the first quarter and taking it 80 yards to the house for the pick-six.

Shilo, who wears his dad's No. 21, even got the high-step in at the end, just like his father used to do in his NFL playing days.

The first person Shilo embraced with on the sidelines? None other than Coach Prime, giving the cameras a heart-warming moment between the father-son duo.

Shilo played at South Carolina for two seasons before enrolling at Jackson State in 2020 when his dad took over as the head coach. After graduating last year from the university, he went with his father and younger brother to Colorado, where he is now a member of the Buffaloes' secondary.

With the win, Colorado likely will be moving up in the AP and coaches' polls again, but they aren't the only ones on the rise in power rankings. Shilo, who sat dead last in Deion's latest children rankings, is "moving up like the Jeffersons" according to Sanders.

He may not be No. 1 yet in the eyes of his father, but Shilo credited himself after the win as the "favorite son."

"Mondays are our day off, but that's when I usually get breakfast with Coach Prime, because I'm the favorite son," Sanders said after the game. "Shedeur, he don't be coming, but maybe this time he'll pull up.

"Coach Prime is always Coach Prime so it's always coaching, family time, all the time. He just wants the best from us and just wants us to be dominant."
