Rivalry Week is a time for savagery, even among teammates.

Ahead of Auburn’s matchup Saturday against fifth-ranked Alabama (3:30 p.m. ET), Auburn alumnus Daren Bates crashed Titans teammate and Alabama alum Derrick Henry’s media scrum this week. Bates was playing audio from Rod Bramblett’s call of Auburn’s famous “Kick-Six” in the 2013 Iron Bowl, the celebratory call booming from a large speaker Bates hoisted in the air.

Henry was then asked how often Auburn-Alabama rivalry ribbing goes on in the Titans locker room.

“Every day. Every day. I love it, though,” he said. “We’ll see after Saturday, Henry said later.

“War Eagle, baby,” Bates retorted.

Some things will never die.
