ESPN's "College GameDay" made history last week, traveling to Durham, N.C., for the first time as Duke hosted Notre Dame on Saturday night.
The contest between the Fighting Irish and the Blue Devils did not disappoint, as Notre Dame edged Duke in a one-score decision to stay in the hunt for the College Football Playoff.
We've had a couple of rarer locations on the schedule for "College GameDay" this year. In addition to its inaugural appearance at Duke, a 27-year drought was snapped when "College GameDay" appeared in Boulder earlier this year.
However, this week, Rece Davis, Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard and Pat McAfee are going to be at a very familiar location, featuring two programs with storied histories.

Here's the information on ESPN's "College GameDay" location and guest picker for Week 6.
Where is 'College GameDay' location for Week 6?
- Location: Dallas, Texas
- Time: 9 a.m. ET
- Matchup: No. 3 Texas vs. No. 14 Oklahoma
If it's the first Saturday in October, it's Red River Rivalry week at the Cotton Bowl, in the shadow of the State Fair of Texas, and "College GameDay" is headed to Dallas.
The Texas-Oklahoma rivalry is one of the biggest in college football, and this year, both teams enter their matchup with perfect 5-0 records (2-0 in their final season in the Big 12). Texas currently has bragging rights over Oklahoma after a 49-0 thumping last year broke a four-year losing streak for the Longhorns.
Led by star QB Quinn Ewers, the Longhorns' offense is averaging 36 points per game, as Texas — No. 3 in the AP poll — looks to get to the College Football Playoff for the first time since the format was introduced nearly a decade ago.
Meanwhile, for No. 12 Oklahoma, Dillon Gabriel has emerged as an elite quarterback this season for the Sooners, leading an offense that is averaging an astonishing 47.4 points per game. Only USC is clicking at a higher rate on offense.
Oklahoma is coming off a dominant win at home against Iowa State, laying a 50-20 beatdown on the Cyclones. Texas has momentum after a drubbing of its own, blowing out Kansas last week, 40-14.
These two Big 12 programs — which leave for the SEC next season — are the only undefeated teams remaining in the conference. This very likely could be a preview of the conference championship down the line, and it is expected to be a high-scoring affair.
Texas vs. Oklahoma starts at 12 p.m. ET on ABC, but "GameDay" gets things going bright and early Saturday.
