How closely will Sunday's AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll resemble the final College Football Playoff rankings?
That's the question facing college football ahead of the final set of rankings on Sunday — the only top 25 that matters.
MORE: Final Playoff projection
The Nos. 1, 2 and 3 teams seem to be set with Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State, respectively. The real debate will center on the No. 4 team: Will it be Notre Dame (10-1), or Texas A&M (8-1)? The Irish were thoroughly embarrassed in the rematch against Clemson in the ACC championship game, but have two more wins than the Aggies and a berth in the conference title game. But the Aggies won on Saturday, suffering only one loss on the season to the presumed top team in the country in Alabama.
Will the selection committee take a "what have you done for me lately" approach? Or will it look at the overall body of work? Either way, the debate for that fourth and final Playoff team will be hotly debated for some time.
With that, here's the final AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll rankings before bowl season. Will they indicate the final team in the Playoff?
