This week's AP Poll reveals plenty of changes at the top of the rankings.
Alabama and Georgia are still at No. 1 and 2, but in third stands one-loss Notre Dame, followed by Clemson, which earned an important ACC win over N.C. State on Saturday, and Oklahoma. Still-undefeated Wisconsin is behind those teams at No. 6. The Badgers' lack of schedule strength is clearly affecting their standing.
Upset losses in the Big Ten ended College Football Playoff contention for Ohio State and Penn State on Saturday. The losses also make for a much different top 10 entering Week 11 of the college football season.

With a loss to unranked Iowa, Ohio State dropped to No. 11 in the AP and Coaches Poll. Penn State suffered a loss to previously-No. 24 Michigan State, and fell nine spots to No. 16 in the AP Poll. Michigan State shot up to No. 13 in the AP Poll and No. 16 in the Coaches Poll with the win. Iowa entered the rankings at No. 25 this week in the AP Poll.
TCU is back in the top 10, having recovered from an earlier loss to West Virginia with a blowout win over Texas on Saturday. Miami (FL) looks a lot more legitimate among undefeated teams with a win over Virginia Tech on Saturday, and the Hurricanes rank No. 6 in the Coaches Poll and No. 7 in the AP Poll.
The Big Ten represents six teams in the AP Poll and five in the Coaches Poll, while the Big 12 represents five teams in the AP Poll and four in the Coaches Poll. The ACC has four teams in the Coaches Poll and three in the AP Poll. The Pac-12 has the fewest teams among the power five conferences with three.
