Alabama may go with two quarterbacks in its College Football Playoff game vs. Clemson on Monday night.

AL.com reported that backup Tua Tagovailoa will get snaps as the Crimson Tide look to exploit his passing ability. Starter Jalen Hurts is best as a runner, and in his most recent game, he completed 12 of 22 passes for 112 yards against Auburn.

For the season, Hurts has completed 60.5 percent of his passes for 1,940 yards and 15 touchdowns. Tagovailoa has completed 66.0 percent of his attempts (35 for 53) and thrown eight TDs. Both QBs have thrown one interception.

Tagovailoa has not played against an FBS opponent since Oct. 21, AL.com reported.

The No. 4 Crimson Tide will face the No. 1 Tigers in a CFP semifinal game at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. This is the third playoff matchup between the schools in as many seasons. Alabama won the first meeting, while Clemson won the second. Both of those games were in the CFP championship.
