College Fantasy Football Rankings: Tight end

College Fantasy Football Rankings: Tight end image

The value of the tight end position in college fantasy football is not up to the level of production for great NFL fantasy TEs. While owning a consistent college TE provides a weekly advantage, it is a top-heavy position in the college fantasy football rankings, so you’ll have to jump on one early if you want a high-quality player.

During the draft, most teams will select backup RBs and WRs before taking their first TE. This is the case simply because of the low average fantasy points per game (PPG) at the position. Good TEs can average six or seven FPPG while scores for other positions are much higher.

Landing one of the top-five TEs would be advised if you want some consistency at the position. If you’re looking for a risk with high reward later in the draft, Washington TE Hunter Bryant has an injury with an unknown impact. If healthy, he could lead Washington in targets and is definitely a threat in the red zone.
