The first full weekend of college football this season will conclude with an ACC flair on Labor Day.
No. 4 Clemson will head to Atlanta for what is technically a neutral-site game vs. Georgia Tech, which will play two miles from its usual venue.
The Tigers will look to get off to a strong start after falling well short of their lofty standards in 2021. Dabo Swinney and Co. failed to win the ACC championship for the first time since 2014 and finished 10-3 (6-2 in conference play).
Of particular interest: how junior quarterback DJ Uiagalelei looks after a sophomore slump last season in which he completed 208 of 374 passes for 2,246 yards and nine touchdowns to 10 interceptions. He won't need to be outstanding to beat the Yellow Jackets, but it's still worth monitoring whether Swinney gives significant playing time to freshman Cade Klubnik.

On the other side of the ball, can fourth-year coach Geoff Collins cool his seat after winning three games in each of his first three seasons and compiling a 9-25 mark in Atlanta? A win against the top-ranked team in the ACC would buy a lot of grace from Georgia Tech brass.
