It's a matter of when, not if, Caleb Williams hears his name called first overall at the 2024 NFL Draft.
The star quarterback at USC has been long regarded as the top prospect in this year's draft class, and with the Bears parting ways with Justin Fields, it has paved the way for Williams to take over as the starter in Chicago.
There is not much left for Williams to do to raise his draft stock, which is through the roof as is. His performance might not move the needle as much as other aspects of the day, such as height, weight, and hand measurements. Experts love to obsess over how tall quarterbacks are, but that has not deterred clubs from taking shorter QBs. Just look at last year's draft when the Panthers took Bryce Young, who is listed at 5-10 and among the shorter QBs in the league.

Williams' height and weight were measured at USC's Pro Day. The quarterback came in at 6--0 7/8 inches and was weighed in at 217 pounds.
That is slightly shorter and a little heavier than his measurements from the NFL Combine. In Indianapolis, Williams was measured at 6-1 1/8 inches and weighed in at 214 pounds.

Williams is not overly tall for his position. At just over 6-0, the USC QB is going to be among the shorter NFL quarterbacks currently in the league.
