Will the college football season reflect a changing of the guard in the Big Ten? Or will the same old powerhouse that has always won it prevail once again?
Ohio State no longer is the undisputed king of the conference — not after Michigan upended the Buckeyes at Michigan Stadium in 2021, the Wolverines' first victory in the series since 2011. But Ohio State claims one of the nation's top offenses and, naturally, is looking for revenge over the maize and blue.
Michigan, of course, is looking to build on a season that saw it win the Big Ten championship and make the College Football Playoff for the first time under coach Jim Harbaugh. The Wolverines will be loath to relinquish control of the conference to Ohio State.
The Big Ten comprises more than just those teams, of course. But for now it's Michigan, Ohio State and everyone else: Luckily for "everyone else" — including Michigan State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa and more — they will get their chance to prove their supremacy this year.
