The greatest rivalry in college football is set to take place in its traditional home of Philadelphia on Saturday: the Army-Navy Game.
Neither the Black Knights (5-6) nor Midshipmen (4-7) are eligible to play in the postseason this year. (Army's record includes wins vs. two FCS opponents; only one can be counted toward bowl eligibility.) Saturday's game will be the final one of the season for both service academies and the final competition for a handful of future military officers whose college football careers will end.
That gives this game even greater importance.
The Black Knights have aired it out more than usual this year, with Jemel Jones, Cade Ballard and Tyhier Tyler combining to complete 32 of 90 passes for 886 yards and five touchdowns to four interceptions. Tyler has been the driving force of the offense this season; he leads the team in rushes (120), yards (601) and rushing touchdowns (12).

Likewise, the Midshipmen have relied on the pass game slightly more, with five players combining to complete 53 of 116 passes for 1,003 yards and eight touchdowns to six interceptions. Tai Lavatai leads the team's passing attack with 42 completions for 785 yards and five touchdowns to three interceptions.
He is also second on the team in rushing with 115 carries for 309 yards and five scores. Fullback Daba Fofana leads the Midshipmen with 175 rushes for 749 yards and six touchdowns.
