Saturday's neutral-site meeting between No. 10 Arkansas and No. 23 Texas A&M is a statement game for both teams — but for different reasons.

Sam Pittman's Razorbacks are looking to start the season 4-0 with two ranked wins (the first was vs. No. 23 Cincinnati in their season opener).

Beating a team that once ranked as high as No. 6 in the AP Top 25 poll will engender even more confidence in the third-year coach in Fayetteville.

That said, history is against Pittman and Co., which last season broke a nine-game losing streak to the Aggies. A victory in Arlington's AT&T Stadium would be the first time Arkansas has won consecutive games vs. Texas A&M since 2010 and 2011.

Meanwhile, Jimbo Fisher and the Aggies (2-1) are looking to rebound from a disappointing first three weeks of the season that featured a slow start against Sam Houston State (part of a 31-0 victory), a 17-14 loss to unranked Appalachian State and a defensive struggle vs. No. 13 Miami.

A&M's 17-9 victory over the Hurricanes still counts as a ranked win, however, and the Aggies are still very much alive when it comes to the College Football Playoff. A victory over the No. 10 team in the country would be quite the resume-builder.
