Announcing a game can be difficult at times, but other times it should be pretty easy.

Take, for example, a missed field goal in the Toledo and Eastern Michigan game Saturday. The EMU kicker attempted a 50-yard field goal and it wasn't even close. The football went way far right and it was easy call.

But somehow the announcer got really confused and started talking about how the kick was good.

The man who had that awful call? That's actually former NFL kicker Jay Feely. Yes, even a kicking expert can get confused by field goals. Feely's co-announcer correctly saw what happened, and just stood by in silence as his partner kept going on about the game being tied.

When the game returned from commercial, here's what Feely had to say about his call.

"I thought it was good," he said, laughing. "I was watching it live and I thought it bounced in. It fooled me, it was wide-right the whole way."

We're still not sure what Feely was looking at, but at least he admitted his mistake and was willing to laugh at himself.
