Women's Final Four players from Texas: LSU has strong ties to Lone Star State image

Five women are returning to their roots in Texas the first weekend in April to compete in the NCAA Women's Final Four.

From LSU, there's Sa'Myah Smith, Alisa Williams, Amani Bartlett and Alexis Morris. And from Virginia Tech, there's Carleigh Wenzel.

Iowa and South Carolina do not have any athletes on their roster from Texas.

Sa'Myah Smith, freshman forward / DeSoto / DeSoto High School
