No. 2 Marquette will try to continue its march through the 2024 NCAA Tournament and will face a tough test in the second round against No. 10 Colorado, which upset Florida on a buzzer-beater in the opener.

The Golden Eagles had a dominant 87-69 victory against Western Kentucky in the opening round.

Kam Jones led Marquette with 28 points and Tyler Kolek finished with 18 points and 10 assists. Kolek made his first appearance and start since injuring his oblique Feb. 28 against Providence and missing the next six games.

The Golden Eagles are explosive and became just the second team in the last 20 years to trail by seven or more points at the half in an NCAA tournament game and outscore its opponent by at least 25 points in the second half.

KJ Simpson hit a baseline jumper with one second to lift Colorado to a 102-100 win over Florida on Friday.

The Buffaloes have earned back-to-back NCAA Tournament wins for the first time since 1955 when they advanced to the Final Four. The 102 points were also the most ever by Colorado in the tournament.

Eddie Lampkin Jr. scored 21 points with six rebounds, Tristan da Silva had 17 points and five assists, J'Vonne Hadley added 16 points and six rebounds and Luke O'Brien finished with12 points and five boards.
