Caitlin Clark deserves all of the praise — and then some. 

Sunday goes down as a monumental one in NCAA basketball history, as the Iowa superstar placed herself atop the all-time scoring leaderboard, surpassing Pete Maravich for the most points in college basketball history. 

Clark entered Sunday's contest needing 18 points to break Pistol Pete's career mark, and she accomplished it in the first half. A couple of successful free throws cemented her status in the collegiate history books. 

The Hawkeyes sensation has been having an incredible senior campaign at Iowa, and she capped off the 2023-24 regular season by dropping 35 points in the win over Ohio State on Senior Day. The crowd at Carver-Hawkeye Arena were treated to a show, as the Hawkeyes got revenge for its previous loss against the Buckeyes, knocking them out of the top spot in the Big Ten.

From one great to another, NBA star LeBron James made sure to shout out Clark for getting the all-time scoring record, sending out a post on X with plenty of buckets. 

Indiana Fever 

Once the 2023-24 NCAA season concludes, the next step for Clark is the WNBA. She is quite likely to be selected first overall in the upcoming draft, and the Indiana Fever currently own the No. 1 pick. While it won't be official until December, it's likely Clark is heading east from Iowa to Indiana.

Nike

Clark has a number of NIL deals with prominent companies, but you can mark the argument none are bigger than the swoosh. Nike delivered a congratulatory clip right after Clark made history.
