Caitlin Clark knows how to put on a show. She's done it throughout her Iowa career. When it came to setting the NCAA women's basketball scoring record, fans should have expected nothing different.
Clark needed eight points to pass Kelsey Plum for the scoring record, and she opened the game by scoring all eight of Iowa's first points to take care of the record early. But how she got the final points, well, that's what makes her the biggest star in the sport.
She pulled up from the back of the Hawkeyes' logo early in the first quarter, draining the shot and sending the Carver-Hawkeye Arena into a frenzy.
"Y'all knew I was gonna shoot a logo 3 for the record, come on now," Clark said after the game.

As if that one basket wasn't enough, she took just over four minutes until she drained another logo 3, this one with a defender in her face.

"I don't know if you can really script it any better. I thought we played really well tonight, thought our defense could have been a little better, but just to do it in this fashion, I'm very grateful," Clark said after the game.
"I'm very thankful to be surrounded by so many people that have kind of been my foundation in everything that I've done since I was a young little girl. I started crying watching that video just because I'm just filled with so much gratitude and love. And the way that these fans support women's basketball is so special."
