Angel Reese put a scare in fans of LSU basketball on Monday.
Early in the second quarter, Reese leaped to attempt a block on a shot by Caitlin Clark and lost her balance before falling into the padded pole and falling into the photographers behind the hoop. She got up hobbled and immediately had to check out of the game.
Reese missed only five total possessions between the two teams before returning and immediately made an impact upon returning. As soon as she was back in, she called for the ball, posted up and scored a layup over an Iowa defender to make it a 36-32 LSU lead with 6:21 left in the half. She missed a total of 1:40.

Angel Reese injury update
Reese appeared to injure her lower leg on Monday in the Elite Eight game. She was hobbled by the injury and had to leave the floor.
Following her injury, she sat on the bench before going to the bike to warm up and get ready to re-enter the game. She returned after missing only 1:40 of the game.
This was not the first time Reese has battled a leg injury. In LSU's SEC Tournament quarterfinal against Auburn, Reese rolled her ankle and missed the remainder of the fourth quarter. She was later seen in a walking boot, but did not miss any of LSU's subsequent game against Mississippi or South Carolina in the conference tournament.
