It wasn't long ago that the Raptors raised the Larry O'Brien trophy for the first time in franchise history, and yet only one player from the championship season remains on the roster.

Over the last five years, 14 of the 15 members of the championship team have either retired, signed with a different team in free agency, been traded or taken their talents overseas. And of those 15, only seven are currently on an NBA team.

Toronto's 2018-19 season will never be forgotten. The Raptors went all-in in the offseason by trading for Kawhi Leonard, then rounded out the roster at the trade deadline by acquiring Marc Gasol. What followed was a thrilling postseason that included one of the greatest shots of all time and an 0-2 comeback in the Conference Finals.

From Leonard and Kyle Lowry to Eric Moreland and Malcolm Miller, here's where each member of the Raptors' championship team is now.

Where are the players from the Raptors' championship season now?

Kawhi Leonard

Leonard's time with the Raptors lasted only one season. He left the franchise as an unrestricted free agent in the 2019 offseason, signing with the Clippers.

Leonard has dealt with injuries over the last few years, but his star still shines bright. He earned his sixth All-Star selection in the 2023-24 season and is playing some of the best basketball of his career with averages of 24.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

With Paul George and James Harden by his side, Leonard is looking to win his third NBA championship and third Finals MVP award.

Kyle Lowry

Widely considered to be the greatest Raptor of all time, Lowry's time with the franchise came to an end in the 2021 offseason when he was traded to the Heat. He made the playoffs in back-to-back seasons in Miami, advancing to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2022 and the NBA Finals in 2023.

Lowry was traded from the Heat to the Hornets ahead of the 2024 trade deadline. He's since been bought out, paving the way for him to sign with his hometown 76ers.

Pascal Siakam

Since Toronto's championship, Siakam has established himself as one of the best forwards in the league, earning two All-Star and two All-NBA selections.

Siakam was traded from the Raptors to the Pacers during the 2023-24 season. He now has an opportunity to compete for a championship in Indiana with Tyrese Haliburton, a two-time All-Star who is quickly rising the ranks of the NBA's best point guards.

Fred VanVleet

After eight seasons with the Raptors, VanVleet signed a contract with the Rockets as an unrestricted free agent in the 2023 offseason. He's brought a much-needed veteran presence to a young Rockets team that has surpassed expectations this season.

VanVleet earned an All-Star selection as a Raptor in 2021-22. He became only the fifth player in the league's history to be named an All-Star after going undrafted.

O.G. Anunoby

Anunoby was a big part of Toronto's success during the 2018-19 season, but he underwent an emergency appendectomy before the 2019 NBA Playoffs and was sidelined for the team's entire postseason run.

Anunoby returned to full strength the following season. He's since become one of the most feared defenders in the NBA, earning his first All-Defensive selection in 2022-23 while leading the NBA in steals.

Anunoby was traded from the Raptors to the Knicks during the 2023-24 season.

Marc Gasol

Gasol last played in the NBA in the 2020-21 season as a member of the Lakers. He returned to Spain and played for Basquet Girona, the club that he founded, until 2023. Gasol helped Girona get promoted to Spain's top division in 2022.

On Jan. 31, 2024, Gasol announced his retirement from basketball.

Danny Green

Like Leonard, Green also made the move to Los Angeles in the 2019 offseason, only he went to the Lakers.

Not only did Green go back-to-back by winning a championship with the Lakers in 2020, but he made some history by becoming only the fourth player in NBA history to win three championships with three different teams.

Green was waived by the 76ers during the 2023-24 season. It was reported at the time that neither Green nor the 76ers had ruled out a return. He's still hoping to sign with a playoff team.

Serge Ibaka

Following stints with the Clippers and Bucks, Ibaka signed with German team Bayern Munich.

Ibaka averaged 11.6 minutes per game as a member of the Bucks in the 2022-23 season. He left the NBA in pursuit of a bigger role.

"I'm a winner, that's the reason I'm here," Ibaka said of his decision to sign with Bayern Munich. "I couldn't stay in the States and wait for someone to sign me to be on the bench. I don't want that. I still feel that I've got a lot of basketball left in me, and I want to play at a high level, I want to win, that's what I do.

"And the day when I feel that I don't want to do it anymore, I'm going to retire."

Norman Powell

Powell was traded from the Raptors to the Trail Blazers during the 2020-21 season. He was then traded from the Trail Blazers to the Clippers during the 2021-22 season.

Powell is playing a key role off the bench for a Clippers team hoping to compete for a championship this season and is one of the leading candidates for Sixth Man of the Year. He ranks behind only Malik Monk and Bogdan Bogdanovic in total points scored off the bench this season.

Chris Boucher

Boucher is the only player from Toronto's championship season still on the roster.

Boucher put together the best season of his career in 2020-21 when he averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks per game, earning him some votes for both Sixth Man of the Year and Most Improved.

Boucher has one more year remaining on his current contract.

Jeremy Lin

Lin became the first Asian-American player in NBA history to win a championship in 2019.

After going unsigned in the 2019 offseason, Lin played for the Chinese Basketball Association's Beijing Ducks. He joined the G League's Santa Cruz Warriors in 2020-21 in hopes of returning to the NBA.

Lin has played in Taiwan's P. League+ the last two seasons. He signed with Kaohsiung 17LIVE Steelers in 2022-23 and is now with the New Taipei Kings.

Jodie Meeks

Meeks played for Team USA at the 2022 FIBA AmeriCup, averaging 6.7 points in 16.3 minutes per game. He retired after the tournament and is currently an assistant coach for the NBA G League's Birmingham Squadron.

Patrick McCaw

McCaw was waived by the Raptors in 2021. He has spent the last three seasons playing for the G League's Delaware Blue Coats and won a championship with the franchise in 2022.

Eric Moreland

Moreland's contract expired at the end of the 2018-19 season. He played for the Chinese Basketball Association's Shanxi Loongs between 2019-21. He's now playing for the CBA's Liaoning Flying Leopards.

Moreland became the third player to win an NBA and CBA championship in 2022.

Malcolm Miller

Miller has bounced around the world since winning a championship with the Raptors, suiting up for the G League's Raptors 905 and Salt Lake City Stars, Italy's Vanoli Cremona, Taiwan's Formosa Taishin Dreamers and France's Limoges CSP.

Miller is currently playing for Italy's UCC Assigeco Piacenza.
