The Heat managed to reach the NBA Finals with Tyler Herro unavailable for essentially their entire postseason run. The 2021-22 Sixth Man of the Year award winner suffered multiple fractures in his right hand in Miami's playoff opener.
But that's not the only health issue for the Heat. They have also been missing Victor Oladipo, who went down with a knee injury in Game 3 of the team's first-round matchup with the Bucks.
How long will Oladipo be sidelined? Here are the latest updates on the 31-year-old's status.

What happened to Victor Oladipo? Latest news on Heat guard's knee injury
In the fourth quarter of Game 3 against the Bucks, Oladipo drove toward the basket, attempted to jump off his left leg for a layup and fell near the baseline.
Oladipo quickly grabbed his left knee, and members of Miami's staff helped him walk back to the locker room.
On April 23, the Heat announced that Oladipo had suffered a torn patellar tendon in his left knee. He was ruled out for the rest of the playoffs.
Five days later, Miami announced that Oladipo underwent successful knee surgery. The team did not share a recovery timeline, but The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that there is optimism Oladipo will be able to "resume basketball activities in six months and return to action next season."
Victor Oladipo contract
Oladipo signed a two-year, $18.2 million deal with the Heat in 2022.
He could decline his player option for the 2023-24 season in order to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, but given his injury history, he will likely exercise that option.
Season | 2022-23 | 2023-24 | 2024-25 |
Oladipo's salary | $8.75 million | $9.45 million (PO) | UFA |
