The injury bug was out in full force on Sunday.
Moments after Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was ruled out for the remainder of Game 1 with a back injury, the injury bug made its way to the Heat's roster with Tyler Herro suffering a hand injury.
Herro played out the remainder of the first half, tallying 12 points, two rebounds and two assists to help Miami take a lead into the break.
How serious is his hand injury? The Sporting News has you covered with the latest updates below.
What is Tyler Herro's injury?
Herro suffered a right hand injury when he was diving for a loose ball in the second quarter of Game 1 between the Heat and Bucks.
He played the remainder of the half but ran into the locker room as soon as the buzzer sounded. Just before the second half resumed, the Heat announced that Herro broke his right hand.
How long will Tyler Herro be out?
After Herro missed the entire second half of Game 1, Bleacher Report's Chris Haynes reported the star guard will be out for "approximately 4-6 weeks" with a broken middle and ring finger on his shooting hand.
This is a major blow to Miami's upset hopes. The Heat already have the worst offensive rating (112.3) of any team in the postseason and losing Herro, a 20.1-point-per-game scorer, only makes things worse.
