Day 2 of basketball at the Tokyo Olympics brought more excitement.

Women's: Spain 73, Korea 69
Astrid Ndour recorded 28 points and 10 rebounds, while Laura Gil added 16 points and Cristina Ouvina had 11 to power Spain to victory in the opening game of the women's draw in Tokyo.
South Korea were in the mix for an upset against the Rio silver medalists, leading 34-33 at the half and trailed by just one point (54-53) heading into the fourth quarter, before Spain pulled away.
They scored the first 12 points of the period, with Ndour notching five-straight as they extended the lead to eight, before having to stave off one final surge from South Korea.
Leeseul Kang led South Korea with 26 points, while Ji Su Park finished with a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double.

The teams in Group A will be back in action on Thursday, with South Korea slated to play Canada and Spain facing Serbia.
Men's: Slovenia 118, Argentina 100
Luka Doncic delivered one of the most dominant scoring performances in Olympic history, in his Olympic debut, recording 48 points in Slovenia's 118-100 win over Argentina.
The 22-year-old ties Australian Ed Palubinskas (Montreal, 1976) for the second-most points ever scored in an Olympic basketball game, trailing only Brazilian Oscar Schmidt, who set the record against Spain in 1988 with 55 points.
His 48 points came on an efficient 18-of-29 from the field, 6-of-14 from the 3-point line and 6-of-7 at the free throw line, adding 11 rebounds, five assists and three blocks.
After scoring 17 points in the opening quarter, Doncic was up to 31 points and eight rebounds at the half, leading Slovenia to a 62-42 lead over the world's No.4 ranked team, as he used his physicality to back down defenders in the post, launch 3-pointers with ease and get to the rim at will.
Big man Mike Tobey finished with a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Klemen Prepelic added 22 points, knocking down four 3-pointers on the night. Slovenia made Argentina pay from beyond the arc, connecting on 16-of-43 triples, while Argentina made just 5-of-31.
Luis Scola led Argentina with 23 points, while Facundo Campazzo scored 21 and Gabriel Deck 17.

Group C continues on Thursday when Argentina plays Spain and Slovenia takes on Japan.
Women's: Serbia 72, Canada 68
Canada mounted a spirited second-half comeback against Serbia in their Olympic opener, eventually falling in a nail-biter to the Rio 2016 bronze medalists.
Sonja Vasić led five players in double figures for Serbia with 16 points, while Yvonne Anderson added 12 and Ana Dabovic 11.
After trailing by eight points at the half, Canada roared back into the contest behind some stellar defensive play, outscoring Serbia 17-9 in the third quarter to tie things up.
The continue to apply the pressure in the fourth quarter, with Kia Nurse's layup tying the score at 58-58 with 4:24 remaining, before Serbia scored nine of the next 11 points to take control, with Dabovic burying a pair of 3-pointers and setting up another for Aleksandra Crvendaki.
Canada's defence forced 28 turnovers, recording 15 steals on the night, but their poor shooting from the 3-point line 5-of-24 (20.8 percent) and the free throw line 15-of-23 (65.2 percent) proved to much to overcome.
Nirra Fields led Canada with 19 points, with Kia Nurse adding 16 and Shay Colley 12.

Men's: Spain 88, Japan 77
After a tightly contested first quarter to start the game, Spain broke things open in the second quarter to take a 20-point lead into the half. Japan gave the 2019 FIBA World Cup champions a strong fight with a second-half charge, but their efforts were too late, falling by 11 points to open the Group Stage at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The 2019 FIBA World Cup's Most Outstanding Player, Ricky Rubio, was back at it again on the Olympic stage, leading Spain with 20 points, nine assists and two rebounds. Victor Claver (14 PTS, 9 REB), Marc Gasol (12 PTS, 4 AST) and Alex Abrines (11 PTS, 3 3PT), joined Rubio in double figures scoring to help their country come away with the win.
Japanese lottery pick Rui Hachimura did all he could to keep his team in this one, going for a team-high 20 points. Yuta Watanabe also stuffed the stat sheet for Japan, going for 19 points, seven rebounds, five steals and three assists, putting constant pressure on Spain's defence.
