The five best shooting guards in the 2020 free agent class image

This year's free agent class isn't particularly deep, but there are still a number of players at each position who will draw interest from teams around the league.

The shooting guard position provides us with some interesting names to keep an eye out for in free agency. Names that might help a borderline contender team become a bonafide championship team.

Here's the list of best potential 2020 free agent shooting guards.

1. DeMar DeRozan

DErozan

Age: 31

Status: Player option

DeMar DeRozan has been the face of a franchise, a four-time All-Star and even made an All-NBA team twice in his career. Entering his age 31 season, he might be ready to accept a lesser role and compete for a championship.

DeRozan has a player option that will pay him over $27 million in 2020-21 which will be tough to walk away from, but crazier things have happened in free agency.

Despite neglecting the 3-point shot, DeRozan is still a proven scorer at over 20 points per game. In the right situation, he could be a major difference-maker for a team looking to take the next step.

2. Joe Harris

Age: 29

Status: Unrestricted

One of the best true free agents on the market is without question, Joe Harris.

Harris' skillset fits on every single team in the NBA. A great shooter and underrated defender, he fits the category of 3 and D to a tee.

Harris was on a bargain deal so he'll likely be looking for a hefty raise. If I'm Sean Marks and the Brooklyn Nets, I'm doing everything I can to keep Harris on my roster as ball-dominant Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant are set to play together next season for the first time.

3. Malik Beasley

Beasley

Age: 24

Status: Restricted

Malik Beasley was in a crowded backcourt in Denver, but once he arrived in Minnesota he was truly able to showcase his skills.

In 14 games with the Timberwolves, Beasley averaged 20.7 points, 5.1 rebounds shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 42.6 percent from three on 8.2 attempts per game.

Will Beasley be that impressive from three going forward? Probably not, but he has proven through his career he can be a reliable shooter when given the chance.

Beasley is also only 24 years old, so they'll be a team willing to pay for his potential.

4. Bogdan Bogdanovic

BBod

Age: 28

Status: Restricted

Bogdan Bogdanovic is a first-time free agent coming off his rookie deal with the Sacramento Kings. Bogdanovic has proven he can be a legit scorer in the NBA as a starter or reserve which makes him a perfect fit on almost every single team.

There should be plenty of suitors for the 28 year-old's services, but the Kings are reportedly set to match any offer that comes his way.

5. Evan Fournier

Fournier

Age: 27

Status: Player option

Coming off a career-year with the Orlando Magic, Evan Fournier might've seen a bump in salary under normal circumstances. Fournier has a player option for the last year of his five-year $85 million deal, but with the market not as player-friendly as years past it leaves the Frenchman with a tough decision.

There are teams that have cap space to offer Fournier something intriguing, but would it be enough for him to leave Orlando where he has the spotlight on him offensively?

Bryn Forbes, San Antonio Spurs (Unrestricted)

Justin Holiday, Indiana Pacers (Unrestricted)
