The Washington Wizards are sending Dwight Howard to the Memphis Grizzlies for C.J. Miles, per The Athletic's Shams Charania and ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

As of the most recent update, the Grizzlies are planning to waive the eight-time All-Star.

The Wizards gain a veteran wing shooter in Miles, who converted 36.4% of his 3-pointers after being traded from the Toronto Raptors to the Grizzlies this past season.

Howard played in just nine games for the Wizards, averaging 12.8 points and 9.2 rebounds before a back injury put him out for the remainder of the season.

One way or another, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year will be playing for his fourth team in four years.
