The Jazz's search for their next head coach starts now.
On Sunday night, Utah announced that Quin Snyder had stepped down as the team's head coach, confirming a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Snyder compiled a 372-264 record in eight seasons with the Jazz, but his teams never advanced beyond the Western Conference Semifinals.
"Quin Snyder has embodied what Jazz basketball is for the last eight years," Jazz owner Ryan Smith said in a statement. "The tireless work ethic and attention to detail Quin displayed each day is a testament to the professional he is. I have nothing but admiration for Quin and respect his decision."

Why did Quin Snyder leave the Jazz?
In his own statement, Snyder said that he felt Utah's players needed a "new voice to continue to evolve." His conversations with the Jazz had been "amicable," and his relationships with other members of the organization remain strong, according to Wojnarowski.
"No philosophical differences, no other reason. I just feel it is time to move onward," Snyder said. "I needed to take time to detach after the season and make sure this was the right decision."
Snyder had one year left on his current deal, but the Jazz had reportedly offered him a contract extension.
Who will replace Quin Snyder as the Jazz's coach?
The Salt Lake Tribune's Andy Larsen and The Athletic's Tony Jones both suggested former Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts as a possible replacement candidate. Jones also tweeted that there was "zero chance" the Jazz would hire ESPN analyst Mark Jackson.
Will Quin Snyder sign with another NBA team?
Snyder is "widely expected" to take a season off, according to NBA insider Marc Stein. Snyder was previously connected to the Lakers' coaching job before they hired Darvin Ham, and multiple reports have pegged him as a target for the Spurs when Gregg Popovich retires.
