The NBA is undergoing a changing of the guard, and the 2024 playoffs are the perfect example.

Elder statesmen such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry were all eliminated in — or in Curry's case, before — the first round. Meanwhile, younger players such as Luka Doncic, Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum and Tyrese Haliburton carry the torch, taking their teams to the Conference Finals.

But the NBA hasn't completely changed hands to the next generation. There are still a handful of older players who are not only sticking on rosters but making an impact in their team's playoff rotation to help keep their title hopes alive.

Who are the oldest players in the 2024 NBA Playoffs? The Sporting News has you covered with the list below.

James, 39, was the oldest player in the NBA this season and the oldest player to qualify for the playoffs. P.J. Tucker joined him as the only other 39-year-old in the postseason.

There were 21 players on playoff rosters who were 35 or older. Of those 21 players, 14 were in their team's regular rotation.

Celtics forward Al Horford and Timberwolves guard Mike Conley are the two oldest players remaining in the playoffs who play every night. Pacers forward James Johnson is a veteran presence on the bench for his team.
