As the calendar flips to February, we're coming up on a few tentpole events in the 2022-23 NBA regular season.

Once the trade deadline passes on Thursday, Feb. 9, all eyes will shift to 2023 NBA All-Star Weekend in Salt Lake City, Utah, which is set for Friday, Feb. 17 to Sunday, Feb. 19.

The starters and captains have already been revealed for the 2023 All-Star Game, with the reserves set to be announced on Thursday, Feb. 2.

In the meantime, the NBA has kept the All-Star weekend debates buzzing by announcing the player pool for the 2023 Rising Stars Game.

Debuting a new format last year, the Rising Stars Game turned into a mini-tournament between four teams of seven players. This year's player pool consists of 11 rookies and 10 sophomores who will be drafted and coached by NBA legends like Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah and Deron Williams. Jason Terry — who is an assistant coach for the host-city Jazz — will coach the team with seven G League prospects.

Who was selected for this year's player pool? The Sporting News has the full list below.
