The Philadelphia 76ers come away with a huge road win in Game 2, defeating the Raptors 94-89.

Jimmy Butler and Kawhi Leonard dueled it out in this one as Butler finished with 30 points, 11 rebounds and five assists to Leonard's 35 points, seven boards and six assists.

The 76ers' bench outplayed the Raptors' second unit and Philadelphia dominated the glass by a margin of 53-36.

Final: 76ers 94, Raptors 89

The 76ers hold on to win the game 94-89. Danny Green had an open look to tie the game at 92-all but was off the mark, ending the Raptors' chances.

Jimmy Butler had a massive performance with 30 points, 11 rebounds and five assists to lead Philadelphia. Kawhi Leonard was fantastic again with 35 points, seven rebounds and six assists.


Pascal Siakam gets the hustle play and putback to bring the Raptors within one, but Joel Embiid attacked the rim to put Philly back up by three with 24 seconds to go! The 76ers lead 92-89.


Kyle Lowry keeps the Raptors alive! He's knocked down a pair of 3-pointers as Toronto trails 90-87 with a minute remaining.

The Raptors went on an 11-2 run to trail by just four points with under three mintues to go, but a massive 3-pointer from Jimmy Butler may have just sealed this one. The 76ers lead 88-81 with 2:11 left in the game with Butler's scoring total up to 28 points.


Now it's the 76ers who take a quick 7-2 run to start the fourth quarter, forcing a Raptors' timeout. Philly leads 76-65 after a few easy layups to get back to a comfortable lead with 8:37 left in the game.

End of third quarter: 76ers 69, Raptors 63

Toronto has charged back into the game but still trail by six points heading into the fourth. Jimmy Butler's 18 points and the bench's scoring leads the Sixers. The Raptors momentum came from 11 points in the quarter from Kawhi Leonard.


The Raptors have outscored the 76ers 20-10 so far in the third quarter, cutting the deficit to just three points at 61-58. With just under three minutes remaining in the frame, Kawhi Leonard has his team roaring back into this game with 23 points.

A quick 5-0 run from the Raptors has cut the 76ers' lead to single-digits at 51-38. Kawhi Leonard had a 3-pointer and a dunk to score the five points through three minutes in the second half.

Halftime: 76ers 51, Raptors 38

The Raptors cut into the 76ers' lead with five consecutive points to end the half, trailing 51-38. The first half was a combination of good defence from Philly and missed shots from Toronto – the Raptors are shooting just 36.2% from the field, converting only three of their 15 3-point attempts.

Bench scoring and a 8-for-16 clip from long range has the 76ers in control, though it is worth noting Joel Embiid has three fouls.


James Ennis is  killing  the Raptors. He's up to 11 points on 4-of-6 shooting from the field with three boards and a block. He's scored six straight points to give the 76ers a 44-26 lead with 4:18 left in the half.

Philly is set to shoot a free throw after the break for Raptors' head coach Nick Nurse's technical foul.


It's more of the same to start the second quarter with the 76ers leading 36-22. They're shooting 6-for-12 from beyond the arc to the Raptors' 2-for-12, playing a key role in the lopsided score.

JJ Redick has already buried a pair of triples in the quarter to keep his team ahead. Scotiabank Arena has been silent through the majority of the game thus far, but a steal from Fred VanVleet leading to a fast break dunk from Kawhi Leonard has injected some energy into the building.


End of first quarter: 76ers 26, Raptors 17

The 76ers are playing more aggressively through one from of Game 2. They already have nine points from their second unit, thanks to Greg Monroe and James Ennis, and Ben Simmons put together a complete quarter of two points, five boards and three assists.

Kawhi Leonard has just four points after the first frame while five points from Pascal Siakm and Kyle Lowry keep the Raptors close.


The 76ers are having their way with the Raptors so far. WIth 2:58 left in the first, they lead 17-11 thanks to a 5-1 advantage on the offensive glass. Former Raptor Greg Monroe has made the difference off the bench so far with four points and five rebounds.

Midway through the first quarter the Raptors own a slim 9-8 lead over the 76ers. Jimmy Butler has six of his team's eight points.

An interesting switch-up for the 76ers – they are going with Ben Simmons guarding Kawhi Leonard, Joel Embiid on Pascal Siakam and Tobias Harris on Marc Gasol.

The 76ers will also go with their usual starting five of Ben Simmons, JJ Redick, Jimmy Butler, Tobias Harris and Joel Embiid.


Joel Embiid (gastroenteritis) is ACTIVE for Game 2.


The Raptors will go with the usual starting five – Kyle Lowry, Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard, Pascal Siakam and Marc Gasol.


The Sixers will again be without Mike Scott, who missed Game 1 with Plantar Fasciitis. Scott played 23.5 minutes per game in the first round and hit the go-ahead shot in the Sixers Game 4 win.
