Before the NBA Playoffs get underway, 12 of the NBA's G League teams will vie for a title.

The 2022 NBA G League Playoffs begin on Tuesday, April 5 and consist of the top six teams in the Eastern and Western Conferences.

NBA G League Playoffs format

The top two seeds in each conference receive first-round byes and await the winners from the single-elimination conference quarterfinal round.

After the opening round, both the conference semifinals and conference finals are also single-elimination rounds.

The G League Finals, which begin on Tuesday, April 12, is a best of three.

NBA G League Finals

Unlike the earlier rounds, the G League Finals is a best of three. This is the first time the Finals are a best of three since 2019 when the Rio Grande Valley Vipers beat the Long Island Nets. The 2020 playoffs were canceled due to COVID and the 2021 playoffs ended with a single elimination G League Finals.
