For the second game in a row, Raptors fans planning on going down to Jurassic Park in Toronto will have to brave the rain.
However, if weather conditions are too severe, fans will be invited into Scotiabank Arena to watch Game 6 of the NBA Finals.
In a press release from MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment), they confirmed that there will be a place for Raptors fans to watch the game one way or another.
“The Raptors tailgate events in Maple Leaf Square are a long-standing tradition for our fans and we look forward to that tradition continuing for tonight’s historic game,” the statement read via CP24.com.
"We are monitoring weather conditions closely today and should there be a threat of severe conditions a decision will be determined at 5 p.m. and fans in the Square will be moved into Scotiabank Arena to view tonight’s game.”
Fans will be let into Jurassic Park at 7:00 p.m. when the gates officially open on a first come, first serve basis.
Crowds have grown with the Raptors' success this playoff run, to the point where the overflow of Jurassic Park extends to Bremmer Boulevard — a 10-minute walk away, according to Google Maps.
“It is beyond comprehension that people are down here huddled under these makeshift tents for hours on end,” Mayor John Tory said Thursday morning via CP24.
“It is cold, it is rainy, it has been such a terrible spring but they (fans) have been here week after week, day after day. They really are the greatest fans in sports.”
The Raptors are one win away from making history by becoming the first team outside of the U.S. to win the NBA championship.
Tip-off for Game 6 is set for 9:00 p.m. ET on TSN and RDS.
