Top 10 guards in 2022 NBA Draft
1. Jaden Ivey, Purdue
Height and weight: 6-4, 200 pounds
Age: 20, Sophomore
Ivey will make an immediate impact at the next level. It's as simple as that.
The Purdue sophomore is explosive and electrifying when he gets downhill and attacks the rim, looking like he has a turbo button at times. He invites contact in the paint, and that same physicality translates to the defensive end, where he can be extremely disruptive as a perimeter defender.
He has drastically improved as a shooter from his freshman season, and if his playmaking continues to come along, he'll be a complete product as an NBA combo guard.

2. Dyson Daniels, G League Ignite
Height and weight: 6-8, 180 pounds
Age: 19
Daniels made the most of his opportunity with the G League Ignite, elevating his draft stock into the top-10 range.
His length and energy make him extremely disruptive and suffocating on defense. His passing ability allows him to act as a secondary initiator on offense. He does the majority of his scoring as a cutter and finishes well around the rim, but he's also developed a consistent floater that will help him at the next level.
His jumper is coming along, and that final piece will allow him to become a true two-way threat.

3. Shaedon Sharpe, Kentucky
Height and weight: 6-6, 200 pounds
Age: 18, Freshman
Sharpe is the mystery man of this year's class after declaring for the draft without playing a single game for Kentucky. The former No. 1 prospect in the high school class of 2022 elected to enroll at Kentucky early, but he moved on to the NBA without ever suiting up for the Wildcats.
He's an explosive guard with quick-twitch athleticism and an advanced bag of moves. It will be interesting to see how he adjusts to the NBA game without playing competitively since high school.

4. Bennedict Mathurin, Arizona
Height and weight: 6-6, 195 pounds
Age: 19, Sophomore
Mathurin has a lightning-quick first step, and he has improved his handle to become a more lethal shot creator. He can pull up off the bounce or knock down shots off of screens. He already has a floater in his arsenal, but he can use his burst and athleticism to finish at the rim.
His intensity on the defensive end doesn't dip. Mathurin will give any NBA team a boost as a pesky perimeter defender and bucket-getter.

5. Johnny Davis, Wisconsin
Height and weight: 6-5, 194 pounds
Age: 20, Sophomore
After averaging 7.0 points per game as a freshman, Davis elevated his game to become one of the best scorers in the country, averaging 19.7 points per game as a sophomore. He has wowed the masses with his ability to knock down tough shots from all three levels of the floor.
He works hard on defense and takes pride in being a physical stopper on the wing. His motor and winner's mentality will be an asset to any NBA team.
6. Jaden Hardy, G League Ignite
Height and weight: 6-4, 185 pounds
Age: 19
Hardy had some ups and downs during his season with the G League Ignite, but his potential as a scorer still makes him one of the most well-rounded offensive threats in his class.
He is an elite shot creator with deep 3-point shooting range, which helps give him a runway to blow by defenders and get to the rim. He has developed as a passer, which bodes well for his future as a combo guard in the NBA, but he needs to work on his shot selection.
7. Kennedy Chandler, Tennessee
Height and weight: 6-0, 170 pounds
Age: 19, Freshman
Chandler only got better as his freshman season went on, and by the time tournament season rolled around, he was playing his best basketball.
The 19-year-old was aggressive as a scorer and decisive as a playmaker, attacking defenses and making the right reads. He's one of the fastest players with the ball in this class.
He started knocking down 3-pointers with more consistency and played pesky on-ball defense — two things that raised his draft stock.
8. TyTy Washington, Kentucky
Height and weight: 6-3, 185 pounds
Age: 20, Freshman
Washington was once considered to be a potential top-10 pick before injuries and inconsistency derailed his freshman season.
He is a capable pick-and-roll ball-handler and a solid shooter, but he can be a streaky scorer. His ability to play on or off the ball makes him a flexible fit for the team that selects him.
9. Blake Wesley, Notre Dame
Height and weight: 6-5, 185 pounds
Age: 19, Freshman
Wesley is a quick, shifty guard. He has a tight handle and changes direction in the blink of an eye, slicing through defenses.
He's a capable passer off the dribble, but he did tend to force it and turn the ball over at times. He's a raw prospect, but he has a lot of potential.
10. Trevor Keels, Duke
Height and weight: 6-4, 221 pounds
Age: 18, Freshman
Keels is a big guard in every sense of the term, making him a walking mismatch for smaller players on the perimeter. He has the strength to disrupt any opposing ball-handler, and he possesses a quick and powerful burst when he attacks the basket.
His jumper isn't reliable just yet, but he's a sound playmaker with crafty passing skills, making him an intriguing prospect as a combo guard.
