IRVING: Ranking the top 60 players in the 2024 NBA Draft class

Why are there 58 picks in the 2024 NBA Draft?

The 76ers and Suns were forced to forfeit second-round picks due to free agency violations.

The league rescinded Philadelphia's second-round picks in 2023 and 2024 after the franchise engaged in free agency discussions with P.J. Tucker and Danuel House Jr. before it was permitted to do so.

Phoenix committed the same violation with Drew Eubanks.

Who will be the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft?

Following March Madness, SN's draft expert Kyle Irving had Alexandre Sarr going to the Pistons with the No. 1 pick.

"Even though the Pistons already have a bruising young center in Jalen Duren, there isn't enough talent on the roster to be drafting for fit," Irving wrote. "Sarr would give Detroit a high-energy rim protector with more length. The 7-foot center is an athletic and powerful shot-blocking big with budding offensive skills who held his own playing professionally in Australia's NBL overseas."

In 27 games with the NBL's Perth Wildcats, Sarr averaged 9.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in 17.3 minutes.

Nikola Topic, Zaccharie Risacher, Knecht and Ron Holland round out Irving's top five in his latest mock draft.
