History was made late in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft.

The Lakers used the No. 55 pick in the draft to select USC guard Bronny James, son of LeBron James, who has spent the last six seasons with the franchise. Bronny James isn't the first son of an NBA player to be drafted, but the moment is unique in that his father is still active and gearing up for his 22nd year in the league.

While LeBron James can opt out of the final year of his contract to enter free agency, the belief is that he will re-sign with LA to team up with his son, marking the first father-son team duo in NBA history.

The historic moment has drawn widespread reactions from the NBA world, each of whom has taken a moment to recognize the gravity of the moment.
