Kyrie Irving trade details: Mavericks acquire 8-time All-Star from Nets in blockbuster deal image

Kyrie Irving's time with the Nets has come to an end.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Irving and Markieff Morris have been traded to the Mavericks in a blockbuster deal that sends Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney-Smith to Brooklyn.

Also included in the deal are multiple future picks that will be sent to the Nets.

The No. 1 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, Irving has career averages of 23.3 points, 5.7 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game. He's earned eight All-Star selections, three All-NBA selections and won an NBA title with the Cavaliers in 2016.

After only appearing in 29 games last season, Irving has bounced back in a major way this season, posting averages of 27.1 points, 5.3 assists and 5.1 rebounds over 40 games, earning the nod as a starter in the 2023 NBA All-Star game. The deal comes less than 48 hours after Irving requested a trade from the Nets.
