The Nets entered the season as a legitimate championship contender built around three of the most talented stars in the NBA. Unfortunately for Brooklyn, the dream of a dominant 2021-22 campaign quickly turned into a nightmare.
James Harden was sent to the 76ers as part of a blockbuster trade before the February deadline. Ben Simmons, who was the main piece of the Nets' return package, continues to deal with a back injury. Kevin Durant has also battled health issues, though he has at least been able to bounce back and perform at an All-NBA level. Oh, and then there's Kyrie Irving.
The seven-time All-Star has missed the majority of the season because of his vaccination status. Under New York's previous COVID-19 mandate, he was not allowed to participate in the Nets' home games. Now that the policy has changed, though, he has been cleared to be a full-time player.
Will Irving be available for Wednesday night's game?

The Nets have not yet submitted their official injury report, but Irving is expected to play against the Knicks.
