Lowry triple-double leads Raptors to big victory over Brooklyn image

The Toronto Raptors' dominance over the Brooklyn Nets continued on Friday night.

A 120-87 victory at the Air Canada Centre extended Toronto's winning ways versus Brooklyn, as the Raptors remained undefeated against the Nets since April 2015. Kyle Lowry notched a triple-double in the victory, notching 10 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds on an easy night for the league's lone Canadian team.

DeMar DeRozan led all scorers with 31 points, with Serge Ibaka, Norman Powell, Jakob Poeltl and Jonas Valanciunas also reaching double-digits in points as Toronto improved to 19-8.

Brooklyn (11-17) showed signs of life in the first half, going on a 14-point run to grab a second-quarter lead. However, the Raptors proved too strong for their Atlantic Division foes, and they permanently regained the lead before halftime.

Wright returns

Delon Wright missed 12 games with a dislocated shoulder, and returned to the Raptors lineup on Friday.

The 25-year-old guard chose the perfect game to make his comeback, as there was very little pressure against an overmatched Brooklyn team.

Wright played just over 15 minutes, scoring seven points and dishing a pair of assists.

Miles out

While one Raptor returned from a shoulder injury, another missed out with a similar ailment.

Veteran C.J. Miles did not participate in Friday's blowout due to soreness in his left shoulder.

If there was any game the Raptors could do without one of their main threats from three-point range, it was this one.

Stauskas' homecoming

Toronto-area native Nik Stauskas made his debut with the Nets on Friday against the team his grew up cheering for, and he had an impressive impact on the game.

Stauskas was traded to Brooklyn last week, but did not step onto the floor with his new teammates until the game against his hometown team. The former Philadelphia 76er was the lone bright spot for the Nets, racking up 22 points and seven rebounds.

The 24-year-old from Mississauga, Ont. finished the night with five three-pointers, a record for a debuting Nets player.
