The Wizards have become major players ahead of the trade deadline.

According to multiple reports, Washington has acquired Kristaps Porzingis from the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans.

The deal signals the end of Porzingis' time in Dallas after he was acquired by the franchise ahead of the 2019 trade deadline.

Take a look at how the trade breaks down.

Trade details:

  • Wizards receive: Kristaps Porzingis
  • Mavericks receive: Spencer Dinwiddie, Davis Bertans

Porzingis, a one-time NBA All-Star is the headliner of this deal.

Through 34 games this season, Porzingis is averaging 19.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game but is shooting just 28.3 percent from 3-point range.

While dealing with a knee injury, Porzingis has not played since Jan. 29.

In exchange, the Mavericks receive Dinwiddie, a secondary ballhandler to play alongside superstar guard Luka Doncic. Dinwiddie, who is back in action after suffering a torn ACL last year, is averaging 12.6 points, 5.8 assists and 4.7 rebounds through 44 games this season.

Known for his 3-point shooting, Bertans has only appeared in 34 games, averaging 5.7 points while shooting just 31.9 percent from deep.
