The 2022-23 NBA schedule has been revealed, getting us one step closer to the start of the new season.
The Knicks will be a team of intrigue after making one of the biggest splashes in free agency, signing former Mavericks guard Jalen Brunson to a four-year, $104 million contract after the 25-year-old had a breakout season in 2021-22.
Brunson evolved into Dallas' second-best player, averaging 21.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists over 18 playoff games in the team's run to the Western Conference Finals.
He'll join a core group of RJ Barrett, Julius Randle and Mitchell Robinson as the Knicks try and return to the playoffs for the second time in three seasons.
After qualifying for the postseason in 2020, New York came up short of expectations last season, finishing with a 37-45 record. Can Brunson be the leader the Knicks need to bring playoff basketball back to Madison Square Garden?

Knicks 2022-23 record prediction
According to Fan Duel, the Knicks' win total over/under for the 2022-23 season is set at 39.5.
New York won 37 games in 2021-22 and it only got better with the addition of Brunson.
If Randle can return to his All-Star form and Barrett, who is still only 22, continues to progress, there is no reason the Knicks shouldn't be more than three wins better than last season.
Even though the East continues to get stronger, I expect New York to improve and hit the over.
Prediction: 42-40
