The Bucks are on injury watch entering the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

In one of the final games of the regular season, Khris Middleton went down with a knee injury. It came after a strong month of March for Middleton where he looked more like his All-Star self with averages of 18.7 points, 6.4 assists and 4.8 rebounds.

What is Khris Middleton's injury?

Middleton left Milwaukee's game against Chicago on April 5 in the first quarter and did not return, with the Bucks announcing he was dealing with right knee soreness. 

After attempting a fadeaway jumper early in the game, Middleton appeared to be in some discomfort. He played eight minutes of the game before exiting for good with zero points on 0-of-3 shooting and one rebound.

Through 33 games, Middleton is averaging 15.1 points, 4.9 assists and 4.2 rebounds on 43.6 percent shooting and 31.5 percent from the 3-point line. 

How long will Khris Middleton be out?

Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer provided an update on Middleton's status moving forward after the game.

"It's just kind of a right knee soreness, a re-aggravation of kind of something we've been working with him on all year. That's what I got," he said.

Two days later, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that an MRI on Middleton's knee came back clean and he is expected to "use the next week or so to rehab the knee in hopes of being ready for the playoffs."

The Bucks have two games remaining in the regular season. The NBA Playoffs will begin on April 15.
