New York's guard depth could be tested in the coming games.

Jalen Brunson has yet to miss a game this season, but he left the team's win over the Kings on Sunday with a foot injury. The Knicks guard returned from a hard fall earlier in the same game.

Through 27 games, Brunson is averaging career-highs of 20.1 points, 6.3 assists and 1.1 steals on 46.4 percent shooting from the field. He's second on the Knicks in scoring and first in assists.

What is Jalen Brunson's injury?

Brunson left New York's win over Sacramento on Dec. 11 with a right foot injury.

Brunson suffered the injury in the fourth quarter when Kings guard Davion Mitchell landed on his right foot on a drive to the basket. Brunson hobbled to the locker room and did not return.

Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau said after the game that Brunson sprained his ankle, adding that they'll "see how it feels tomorrow."

Following their win over the Kings, the Knicks head to Chicago for the first stop on a three-game road trip. They'll face the Bulls twice in Chicago before traveling to Indiana to play the Pacers.

Brunson is listed as questionable in the first matchup with the Bulls with a contused right foot.
