The time has come for Kyle Lowry to make his highly anticipated return to Toronto.

Lowry spent nine memorable seasons with the Raptors, making a case as the greatest player in franchise history after leading Toronto to its first-ever NBA title in 2019.

Lowry was traded from the Raptors to the Heat this offseason, leaving Toronto as the franchise's all-time leader in assists, steals, 3-pointers made and triple-doubles. He also ranks second to DeMar DeRozan in games played and total points.

The Heat will be on the second night of a back-to-back, but Lowry wrote in a piece on The Players' Tribune that "I'm excited as hell to play in Scotiabank Arena again," so the expectation is that he will play.

Lowry missed his first opportunity to return to Scotiabank Arena back on Feb. 1 due to personal reasons. However, he would not have received the reception he deserved, as Canada's COVID protocols didn't allow the Raptors to have fans in the building for that contest.
